*Opening for David LaMotte, will be songs from the new musical 1940, telling the resilience of the High Country people after the 1940 flood. Performers include members of the cast from Lees-McRae Summer Theatre and the sanctuary choir of Banner Elk Presbyterian. 1940 was written by Janet Barton Speer with John Thomas and Tommy Oaks. Music is directed by Nina Allbert and Rob Dingman.
David LaMotte is an award-winning songwriter, speaker, and author.
